"I became acquainted with Wes Montgomery when he recorded 'Movin Wes' then 'Bumpin' and ' Tequila with Bumpin on sunset.' The sounds of Wes Montgomery along with Art Blakely (Jazz Messengers) and Herbie Mann influenced my early jazz beginnings during the sixties. In our second year, I am proud to Welcome Wes to the Dantzler Jazz Hall of Fame"
